Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Since the tail end of 2014, I’ve been working with the Interpretation team at Kew Gardens to reinvigorate a number of different areas in this gorgeous space. It’s been a fascinating opportunity to learn about a branch of science unfamiliar to me (excuse the pun) and a great chance to spend some time getting to know these beautiful gardens.

I’ve worked on:

  • Text and imagery for the redevelopment of the Climbers and Creepers play area
  • Revising out-of-date interpretation panels for the Gardens’ 12 most famous individual trees, including the wizened and charismatic “Old Lions
  • Brand new interpretation for the main families and genres of trees in the 300-acre Arboretum (ongoing)
